Interactive Interdisciplinary Learning

The world has changed and requires more interdisciplinary and first-principles thinking, problem solving, and learning how to learn, but education systems have not adapted. New tools for thinking and learning abound, but they are not effectively deployed. Learning on your own or helping others learn is not easy. While standard curricula artificially silo subjects, navigating an ocean of disjointed learning resources and organizing them into a coherent learning experience by yourself is hard. To address this, Latest Lesson combines custom content with curated online and offline resources to create weekly interactive lessons that help you learn and discover new interconnected ideas. To make this learning even more engaging and social, Latest Lesson offers classes, and provides a community of peers and mentors.

Step 1

Sign up for the Latest Lesson newsletter to receive free weekly interactive lessons and to find out about new classes, guest speakers, Q&A sessions, and other Latest Lesson community events and projects.

Step 2

Go through the weekly lesson at your own pace. Each lesson revolves around a central theme that is of fundamental importance across a wide range of disciplines and features selected readings, videos, problems to solve, questions to answer, and other activities. Parts of each lesson are interactive, allowing you to check a solution or try an activity directly in your browser; other parts direct you to post your response in the Latest Lesson online community where you will receive feedback from instructors and other students. Lessons are designed to expand your intellectual horizons, develop your problem-solving skills, and help you learn how to learn.

Step 3

Enroll in Latest Lesson online classes to delve deeper into a subject. Classes are announced in the Latest Lesson newsletter, and they cover a range of topics and come in a variety of formats to suit your learning preferences. You can also request classes, and if there is enough interest, Latest Lesson will offer them.

Step 4

Become an active member and lifelong learner within the Latest Lesson online community. One of the best ways to understand something is to explain it to someone, and you'll earn recognition for helping others learn and for other contributions to the community. You can also collaborate on projects, and make new friends who share your curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
